I didn’t forget to share more of my favorite places to purchase books!
Look, here I am!

If you are okay with mostly used books, though you can also buy new ones at Thriftbooks, this is the place for you. If you love mass-market paperbacks, this may be useful, too. For the most part, I believe many publishers have stopped printing mass-market books in favor of more popular formats. I used to prefer them, but as I got older, I found the print harder to see. Shut up. Age happens. Anyway, Thriftbooks is an amazing resource to find older editions of books. Hey, you want a shot at finding that French copy of, I don’t know, Moby Dick? Start here! It also has a points system that rewards you with a free book (up to a certain dollar amount), though you do have to pay for shipping. Which, let me say, is very reasonable! And your Birthday month? Free book! Don’t shy away from this site! It’s worth it!

I will admit that I’ve only used this site once, but a lot of people do love it. You want to sell the books you didn’t love? This would be a great place to do that! Basically, it’s a place for book lovers to buy and sell to each other. You may even get a little extra in your book purchase! The seller I bought from wrapped the book beautifully and included both a bookmark and tabs! My reservations come from not knowing which sellers to trust. It would be my luck to pay for a book only to have them take my money and run. I haven’t heard of that happening, but you never know! If you’re less paranoid than me, check Pangobooks out!

Ink Drinkers Anonymous is an independent bookstore I’ve bought from a lot over the last few years. They don’t have a huge selection, and their prices are a little higher than the big companies, but I have always enjoyed the care they put into mailing my books. If you are lucky to snag one of their blind date with a book selections, do so! Don’t even think about it. They always include extra goodies with the book and usually a personalized note thanking you. They are amazing!

I only discovered World of Books recently. I’m glad I did! Like Thriftbooks, you can buy new or used. They also let you sell books to them. As I understand it, you scan your books, they estimate a price, you box and send them, and they pay you based on their condition. The few orders I made, I got a lot of popular books for fairly cheap and in pretty good shape. Now, the classic books I ordered were a little worn, but that’s okay. Someone loved them. Anyway, this site will join my regular rotation.
That’s it!
I mean, that’s it for today.
I have more to share later.
