Buy More Books (Part 4)
I didn’t forget to share more of my favorite places to purchase books! Look, here I am! If you are okay with mostly used books, though you can also buy new ones at Thriftbooks, this is the place for you. If you love mass-market paperbacks, this may be useful, too. For the most part, I… Continue reading

3rd Quarter Reading Wrap-Up
I was going to wait until October to go over my top reads for July-September, but this month has been a very slow reading month, and I can’t imagine I’ll fit another 5-star read in before the month ends. Which is fine. Okay, it’s actually a little upsetting, but it’s also fine because I have… Continue reading

Trope Troubles Part 2
Hey, come closer. I have a secret. A BIG SECRET! It’s a secret, so you can’t tell anyone. If you tell, there will be consequences. It’ll mostly just be me being sad, but those are some heavy consequences because you wouldn’t like me when I’m sad. It’s a lot of ugly crying. Are you ready… Continue reading

Trope Troubles
When it comes to reading (and I do a lot of it), not all tropes are built the same. At least, not for me! There are tropes that I eat up every single time. Seriously, if a trope I love is mentioned in the synopsis – and even if it’s in a story I wouldn’t… Continue reading

Jekyll and Hyde, Fantasy Books, and Random Things
Hey, friends! I’ll try to make this a quick one tonight. It’s 10 pm, it was a long day at work, and I just finished watching a movie that made me tear up. Your girl is going through it today. Sunday night, I found two cartoons on YouTube I wanted to mention. Hyde and Go… Continue reading

The Haar by David Sodergren Primary Genre: Horror My Goodreads Review: This is equal parts horrifying and heartbreaking. Also, a little gross. Another Sky by Cynthia A Rodriguez Primary Genre: Romance My Goodreads Review:… Continue reading

Random Movie Update
So, I haven’t exactly been watching too many movies within the last 2-3 weeks. You know how readers fall into reading slumps? I think I fell into a movie/watching slump. I have been trying to motivate myself over the last week, intending to sit down and watch a few movies after work. Each day, I… Continue reading

Q1 – Buried in Books
So, I fell asleep. On the couch. Sitting up. Clutching the remote. When I jolted awake, I remembered that I had plans to write a post tonight. So, here I am. Hey, did you know I like reading? It’s true! Reading is kind of a big deal to me. It’s my thing. It’s one of… Continue reading

Buy More Books (Part 2)
So, you want to buy more books? I got you! Let’s continue with more physical locations where you can find books out in the wild. Walmart Yeah, I know. It’s no one’s favorite place. In fact, the majority of people I know dread going into this store. If, however, you are a reader and happen… Continue reading
